About The Language Academy

The Language Academy of the Carolinas, Inc. began in March of 2004 with one Spanish class at my parent’s dining room table in Huntersville, NC. The classes continued to grow so much that I had to find a space to rent before my parents threw me out of their house.

Our first office was a small, two-classroom building on Old Statesville Road in Huntersville. We quickly outgrew that space before moving to University City where we began to offer other languages in addition to Spanish. In order to serve more people in Charlotte, we then partnered with the Levine Jewish Community Center (LJCC) in South Charlotte and later established another proper office in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood. We later consolidated the University City and Plaza Midwood offices into our new Eastover location.

Early on we discovered that area businesses, both large and small, were counting on us for their language needs. This led us to add corporate language training, translation & interpreting services, along with cross-cultural training in order to better serve the Charlotte business community. Our corporate services continue to grow and is one of our most successful business lines.

We have been featured in the Charlotte Observer, the Charlotte Business Journal, and were selected by Charlotte Magazine as the Best Place to Learn a New Language. We are proud of what we have been able to achieve over the years and hope that you enjoy working with us as much as we enjoy serving you!
